Small easy to care for comfortable home on 700m sq block in a quiet street, between Brisbane & the Gold Coast. The house has a small modern all electric kitchen, with all the usual appliances. It has two split system air conditioners in the lounge and main bedroom. The main bedroom has an en suite. The bathroom has a bath and separate shower. TV/VCR/DVD. CD player. Broadband internet. Free local/STD phone calls. The laundry has a large automatic washing machine and dryer. There is a large heated spa on a secure verandah at the back. Gas BBQ. We have a medium size modern 4wd for your use.
Our house is immaculate, and we will look after yours as if it were our own.

| Our neighborhood |
Our small comfortable home is situated on a typical Australian suburban quarter acre block, half an hour drive from Brisbane CBD and 45 minutes from the Gold Coast. We are just a few minutes drive from a ’park and ride’ station of the Brisbane suburban railway system which takes you to the Gold Coast and to the Airport. There is a bus service to Brisbane a few minutes walk away.
Brisbane has everything a large city can offer, except that people don’t usually want to shove you out of the way, or walk over you. The Gold Coast is a tourist paradise, with theme parks, surf, sand and so on. Rain forested mountains in the Gold Coast Hinterland with more laid back tourism opportunities are just an hour away by car. We have lovely neighbours too.
Bruisbane’s climate is sub tropical. It rarely rains in the spring/autumn/winter (April to October). It used to be very wet in summer, but after 5 years of drought, that’s a fading memory. |

We are George & Margaret, retired public servant and nurse/teachers aide. We are widely travelled and enjoy exploring local areas thoroughly, as far as possible on foot. We had from 4 weeks in New Caledonia in 2007, which we thoroughly enjoyed. |
