| Description of our house |
Stylish and comfortable family home forty minutes from London
Our home is situated in the Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, yet only forty minutes to the heart of London. There is an excellent fast train service up to Waterloo station from Haslemere. We are only forty minutes from London's major airports, Heathrow & Gatwick. We own a modern and stylish home with all the comforts you would expect. You would have the use of a large estate car for the time of your stay.
All of the rooms in our homes have been tastefully decorated and have a light and airy feel. We have a modern kitchen and utility room with washer and tumble drier. The main bedroom has closet space and shower room. We also have a recently updated family bathroom with tub and shower. There are two single bed rooms and one other double. The dining room is off the kitchen which leads out to the garden. We have a large decked area which is great for BBQs, and garden furniture with patio heater.
This is a lovely area to sit and enjoy a glass of wine on a summer evening (yes! we do have lovely sunny weather a lot of the time). The house works well for couples and families alike. We raised our two daughters here and really enjoy the feel of our home, and hope you will too! We are situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with wonderful neigbours, who are some of our best friends. In fact next door live last year's Mayor and Mayoress of Haslemere; a fountain of information right next door! |

| Our neighborhood |
Haslemere is perfectly situated for anyone wanting to enjoy day trips to London or indeed the south coast of England. We are fortunate enough to have some of the best beaches in England. London is forty minutes away (my husband uses the train every day to get to work). The train station is five minutes down the road. There is so much to do in this area. My husband and I are keen walkers and have access to some of the most stunning scenery in England.
My Hometown:
The historic town of Haslemere is about as 'oldy worldy' as it gets. The town has a long and colourful history with origins dating back to medievial times. Many of the town's buildings are from the Stuart and Tudor periods. The town is full of history which can be explored at our wonderful little Haslemere Museum situated in the High St. Having said all that, all the facilities for modern living can be found in and around the town centre. We have a large supermarket only five minutes away. When it comes to British pubs this town has some of the best around serving great food and drink. |
